What is Equipping?
Jesus did not call His people only to believe, grow, and receive. He also prepares His people to serve, build up His Church, and participate in the work of His Kingdom.
In Ephesians 4:11–12, Paul explains that Christ gives leaders to His Church for the purpose of “equipping the saints for the work of ministry” and building up the body of Christ.
Equipping is the process of helping believers become spiritually prepared and practically ready to serve. It involves growing in biblical understanding, recognizing God-given gifts, developing Christlike character, and learning how to use what God has entrusted to us faithfully.
At Go Reach Ministries, we believe ministry is not reserved for pastors, teachers, or people with titles. Every believer has a place in the body of Christ, and God works through different gifts, abilities, experiences, and callings for the good of His Church and the advancement of His Kingdom.
Our Equipping Ministry exists to help believers move from simply asking, “What can I receive?” to prayerfully asking, “Lord, how have You prepared me to serve?”
“...to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.” — Ephesians 4:12
The Lord Has Prepared You To Serve
Following Jesus is a journey of growth, transformation, and obedience. As believers mature in Christ, God also calls us to recognize what He has entrusted to us and to use our lives faithfully in service to Him and others.
At Go Reach Ministries, we believe equipping helps believers:
Recognize.
Identify God-given gifts, abilities, burdens, and areas of potential service.
Develop.
Grow in character, biblical understanding, skill, faithfulness, and responsibility.
Prepare.
Receive training, guidance, mentoring, and opportunities to practice serving well.
Serve.
Use what God has entrusted to us wherever He leads — in the Church, ministry, community, vocation, missions, or other Kingdom work.
